My Commitment
I am committed to providing a professional, ethical and respectful counselling service. I hope that you will feel comfortable discussing any concerns or difficulties with me, as many issues can be resolved through open and honest communication.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service I provide, you have the right to raise a complaint.
Raising a Concern
If you have a concern about the counselling you have received, I encourage you to discuss it with me in the first instance. Wherever possible, I will listen carefully, respond respectfully and work with you to resolve the matter.
You can raise your concern by email, telephone or in writing using the contact details provided on this website.
I will acknowledge your complaint as soon as reasonably possible and aim to provide a full response within 14 working days. If additional time is required, I will keep you informed of the progress.
If You Are Not Satisfied
If you remain dissatisfied after we have attempted to resolve your complaint, or if you feel unable to raise your concerns directly with me, you may contact the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As a registered member of the BACP, I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions and am accountable to their Professional Conduct Procedure.
Information about making a complaint to the BACP can be found on the BACP website.
Complaints About Personal Data
If your complaint relates to how I have collected, stored or used your personal information, you also have the right to raise your concerns with me in the first instance.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s independent authority for data protection and privacy.
Continuous Improvement
All complaints are taken seriously and will be treated fairly, confidentially and without prejudice. Feedback is welcomed as it helps me to continually improve the quality of the service I provide.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to address any concerns you may have.
